Men's Track
A three-time Pac-10 scorer, led squad in triple jump for third straight season. Ranks third among Pac-10 returnees and tops for Oregon based on last season’s marks. Is tied for 10th all-time in Duck history with his wind-legal leap of 50-4 1/2 outdoors in 2002, and is less than a foot away from moving into sixth place (51-2 3/4). 2001-02: Pac-10 Scorer (Triple Jump). Jumped his windy career best and notched his best Pac-10 placing (second, 50-10 3/4w, w:+2.2), the team’s best overall mark of year and just shy of wind-legal status. Overall, competed in triple jump in five outdoor meets, with two past the 50-foot mark. Posted his third-best mark of the year in Texas Relays (eighth, 49-7). Added wins and wind-legal season bests in dual against Huskies in both triple jump (50-4 1/2, w: 0.0) and long jump (21-8, w:+1.0). Competed in long jump in two other outdoor contests with windy season best in Montana-Weber State Triangular (third, 22-7w, w:+4.9) that ranked him second on team at season’s end. Indoors, led squad in triple jump win a quarter-inch indoor best (50-3 1/2) in Frank Sevigne Invite, and overall owned team’s top three marks of the campaign. Also posted strong marks in Husky Scoring Meet (first, 49-11) and in Mountain Pacific Championships (second, 49-7), and won event in Washington Scored Meet (49-11).
2000-01: Pac-10 Scorer:Took top-eight finish in Pac-10 Championships triple jump (seventh, 48-10 3/4) for second straight season. Overall, competed in six outdoor meets, with four at 49 feet or better. Jumped windy best of 50-6 (+2.9w) at Texas Relays to place eighth. Claimed three wins during year - Texas Invite (49-9 3/4), Oregon Invite (season best 49-9 3/4) and Oregon Preview (48-2 3/4). Scored in triple jump (49-5) and long jump (third, 22-1 1/2) in Washington Dual team win. Indoors, jumped marks of 48-10 1/4 or better in all four appearances, including season best of 49-7 1/4 in UNI Invitational to place fourth overall.
1999-2000: Pac-10 Scorer. Improved triple jump personal best by six inches during outdoor season and posted four wins. Capped year with seventh-place Pac-10 finish with a six-inch, personal best (seventh, 49-9 3/4) - one place better than his seeding and the only conference freshman entered. Jumped season best week prior with win in Oregon Twilight (49-1 3/4). Was above 48 feet in three other outdoor contests - Stanford Invite (third, 48-9), Hayward Relays (first, 48-7 1/2) and Washington Dual (first, 48-4 3/4). Cleared 23-foot mark twice in the long jump - in Oregon Invite (second, 23-1 3/4) and Hayward Relays (fifth, 23-3 1/2). Indoors, claimed first 50-foot jump in the Mountain Pacific Championships final (second, 50-3 1/4). Prep: Ranked 20th nationally in 1999 with senior best of 49-3. A California Central Section triple jump champion in 1999, he also owned a best mark of 23-3w in the long jump. CIF and team MVP. Won valley and league titles in triple jump and 4x400.
