Prep: In his only season of running, helped 4x100 relay to one of the fastest times in recent 4A state championship history (second, 42.29), and also appeared in prelims of 100 (13th, 11.37). At end of 2000 season, ranked third in state rankings as a senior in 100. The all-state selection also took second in the district 100 and sixth in the 200. Owned prep bests of 10.56 (hand-timed) and 10.93 (auto) in 100, and 21.9 in 200. Also lettered one season in football. Off the track was named Student of the Month (12/98), Science Student of the Month (6/99), Literature Acheivement Award (1999), Act-So Drawing Competition Bronze (2000), and TurnAround Acheivement Award (2000).
