Men's Track
2001-02: Pac-10 Qualifier (Javelin). Competed in second conference finale (12th, 191-1, 58.24m) after entering meet seeded 11th. Opened year with season best in Montana-Weber State Triangular (second, 207-3). Followed with wins in USC-BYU Triangular (200-5, 61.10m) and Washington Dual (199-9, 60.88m). Altogether, was limited to action in five meets while fighting through various injuries in his right mid-section. 2000-01: Pac-10 Qualifier. Just missed points in Pac-10 Championships debut (ninth, 197-7) and stood second among freshmen. Threw his personal best in his collegiate debut in the Oregon Preview (second, 218-5). In opening weeks of season, also topped 210 feet at Texas Relays (10th, 210-4) and Washington Dual (second, 210-3). Overall, was above 200 feet in four of six meets. Prep: In 2000, Ranked first nationally in the javelin (229-2, 69.86m) by nearly two feet. Won 4A state meet as senior (215-3), and finished second in 2000 Golden West Invite (210-3).
