Men's Track
Ranks sixth all-time for Ducks in high jump, and only a half-inch from fifth (7-1). Redshirted last season, but his 7-0 1/2 personal best from 2000 would rank him fifth in the conference among returnees based on last year's collegiate season bests. 2000-01: Had most consistent season yet with efforts of 6-10 or better in all five outdoor appearances. Redshirted outdoor season but competed unattached locally in four meets, including 7-foot clearances at Clackamas (7-0 1/4) and Hayward Field all-comers meet (7-0). Leaped 6-10 3/4 in the Oregon Preview (second) and Oregon Invitational (sixth), and added 6-10 1/4 mark in Oregon Twilight (second). Competed for Ducks in four indoor meets, clearing 6-8 1/4 or better in each. Turned in season best of 6-10 3/4 (third) at indoor opener, the Minnesota Open. Cleared 6-9 in Northern Iowa Invite (third) and Holiday Inn Invite (third). 1999-2000: Pac-10 Scorer. Competed in four meets, including third Pac-10 points (seventh, 6-9). Cleared outdoor season best in Stanford Invite (ninth, 6-9 3/4). Indoors, owned season best of 6-11 from Iowa State Open. During summer, tied personal best (7-0 1/2) in local all-comers meet. 1998-99: Pac-10 Scorer. Injured part of year, but stepped up in conference finale (third, 6-10 3/4) after being seeded in an eight-way tie for third. Cleared 6-10 3/4 in three of his last four meets after a previous season best of 6-9 3/4 from Stanford Invite. Posted wins in Washington State Dual (6-6 3/4) and in Oregon Twilight (6-10 3/4). Indoors, owned season best of 6-11 1/2. 1997-98: Pac-10 Champion. Overcome a no-height and 6-2 3/4 finish the weeks prior to the Pac-10 meet to capture Oregon's third straight conference high jump title (PR 7-0 1/2) - improving from a seventh-place seeding. Also cleared 6-8 or better in the Oregon Invite (fourth, 6-10 1/4) and Stanford Invite (eighth, 6-8 1/4). Prep: Cleared 7-0 initially in summer all-comers meet (7/14/97). Set 3A state meet record as a senior (first, 6-9 1/4) and placed as a junior (fourth, 6-6) and sophomore (eighth). Played basketball on North Valley state qualifying team (1995, '96 and '97).
