Men's Track
Before Oregon: After attending South Eugene High School in Eugene the 2000-01 season, returned home to Sweden in 2001-02. Was part of indoor national record 4x400 early in 2002 (3:09), and took third in 800 with indoor personal best (1:50.99) in national indoor championship in Malmo, Sweden in February. Competed for Sparvagen FK club, the top club in Sweden last season. Prep: Competed one season for South High School in Eugene. Ranked seventh nationally among preps in 2001 with outdoor personal best of 1:50.15. In state finale, won titles in 800 (1:50.74) and 4x100 (42.73), and finished fourth in 100 (11.01) - helping team to runner-up honors. High School (Coach): South Eugene ‘01 (John Gillespie) / Jakobsbergs Gymasium - Jarfalla-Stockholm (Lech Nikitin). Personal: Major: Computer Science. His mother Barbara Olszowy ran for Legia Warszawa in 1972-74. Born Jan Anders Olszowy on October 9, 1982 in in Kristianstad, Sweden. Raised in Stockholm, Sweden. Personal Bests: 800 - outdoors - 1:50.14 (2001) , indoors - 1:50.99 (2002); 400 - 47.9 (relay split 2001), 100 - 10.92 (2001).
