2003 Outlook — The most determined, best finesse pitcher this season, she has matured after a year of Pac-10 play. Possesses great ball movement and changes of speed. As a lefty, will off-set Amy Harris and Anissa Meashintubby. 2002 — Saw action in 24 games and started 17 contests...Offensively, made limited appearances, but showed potential, going 2-for-3 with a run scored and an RBI against Southern Utah...Was 1-for-3 against Colorado State with a double...Finished the year with two doubles...Defensively, was second on the team with a 3.17 ERA and third with 50 strike outs...Was impressive in Oregon’s upset win over then fifth-ranked Arizona State, nabbing the victory and claiming one of just two Pac-10 wins for Oregon...Lost three games, including Stanford and Oregon State, by just one run...In the Ducks’ first tournament of the season, Kontra picked up wins over Texas Tech and Southwest Texas, tallying 10 strike outs in those two games. Prep — Pitcher for Hart High in California for four years coached by Cathy Giordano...Helped lead her team to win league championships for four consecutive years...Named player of the year in both her junior and senior years...Played ASA with Panthers Gold which is coached by Dale Moore for four years...Helped team to win national title freshman year and took second in nationals the following year...Academically was awarded with the California Scholarship Federation.
