2003 Outlook — After undergoing shoulder surgery in June 2002, Vidlund was limited during the offseason. Her role will likely be limited to designated hitter early in the season, but as time progresses she could begin to work out with Oregon’s pitchers and possibly get back into the rotation or compete for time in the infield.

2002 — Continued her role as one of Oregon’s strongest offensive threats, leading the team in seven offensive categories, including tied for the lead in average (.320), total bases (82), hits (49), RBI (39) and home runs (9)...Had 11 multiple RBI games, including four RBI outings vs. Central Michigan, Feb. 15 and Colorado State, March 23...Was also 4-for-4 vs. Central Michigan and had her first multiple home run game (2) to finish with two runs scored...Did not see action on the mound for the Ducks after pitching during her freshman and sophomore seasons...Played primarily at first base, finishing with a team-hgih 312 put-outs and a .977 fielding percentage...Had her first home run of the season in the Ducks’ first game, going 2-for-3 with two RBI against Texas A&M Corpus Christi...Had multiple two-base hit game against Boston College on March 8, finishing the game 2-for-4 with a run scored and two RBI after hitting a double and a home run...Against top-ranked Arizona April 26, Vidlund was 1-for-3 with a run scored and two RBI...Is currently tied for seventh all-time at Oregon with 21 home runs.

2001 — Was of Oregon’s strongest weapons, starting all 68 of the Ducks’ games...Hit .253 and led the team with 11 home runs, including a bomb in Oregon’s Pac-10 opener against then-No. 2 Arizona...Scored 25 runs and added 29 RBI...Led the Ducks’ with a .460 slugging percentage...Was also one of Oregon’s defensive leaders, pitching in 28 games and going to the mound as a starter in 14 games...Was second on the team with a 4.12 ERA...Pitched 107 innings and was 10-8 overall...Was 7-of-19 (.368) in Oregon’s first six games, tallying at least one hit all six contests, while also picking up a 2-0 win over Wisconsin (7IP, 0ER, 4BB, 9K)...Came back a week later to secure a 6-2 win over Iowa State and offensively finished the game 1-for-3 with a double and two RBI...Pitched a stellar game vs. Miami (7IP, 2ER, 3BB, 10K), picking up the 8-2 win while also going 2-for-3 with a doulbe and a run scored.

2000: Perhaps the biggest addition to the team in 2000, Vidlund was the Ducks’ second starter behind Connie McMurren...Vidlund led the team in wins with 17 and finished the season with a 2.59 earned run average...Pitched five shutouts, 14 complete games and 146 innings...Showcased her talents early in the season when she pitched a complete-game, one-hit shutout in her first collegiate start February 11 in a 13-0 win over Tulsa...Ran her record to 10-2 on the season on March 18, when she pitched her first career no-hitter and first no-hitter by an Oregon pitcher since 1998 in an 8-0 win over Portland State...Went 3-0 against Portland State on the season, allowing just three earned runs in three-complete games...Won her first collegiate NCAA Tournament game, a 4-3 victory over Louisiana Lafayette...Played mostly left field when she wasn’t on the mound, and hit .230 with 29 hits and one home run, the lone run in a 6-1 loss to No. 1 Washington.

Before Oregon: Lettered three years in softball, pitching and playing infield. Was a member of Orangevale teams that won California League championships in 1997, ‘98, and ‘99. She was selected Player of the Year on two occasions, and was an All-League selection all three seasons. She was voted team MVP her senior season, and was a second-team All-American selection that season. She was also voted All-State in 1999.
