One of Midwest’s top distance recruits, stepped in as team’s top newcomer in fall 2002 and scored in three races.

Fall 2002: Team’s top newcomer, and ran in all six cross country races - tied with Carrie Zografos with the most of any harrier on the squad. Ran in team’s top five in three of first four races, including Beaver Classic win (4K, 14:11). Finished in team’s sixth spot in Pac-10 (54th, 23:00) and Western Regional Championships (67th, 23:24). Other appearances included Roy Griak Invite (83rd, 22:54), Willamette Invite (26th, 18:08) and Pre-Nationals (197th, 23:07).

Prep: Took fourth in the 2001 2A state cross country meet (14:24) as team took fifth. In weeks prior, also claimed conference, sectional and regional titles. On the track owned a senior season and personal best of 10:59.7 in the 3,200, then trained through a shin injury to still take 19th in the state finale (11:50.29). Took sixth in the state 3,200 as a junior (then-PR 11:07.62). As a sophomore ran in state finale on the 4x800 (second, 9:22.54) and owned a season best of 5:21.8 in the 1,600.
