Women's Track
One of four Duck high jumpers that own bests of 5-7 or better. Ranks third among returnees after jumping 5-7 twice outdoors in 2002 - only an inch below her lifetime best. Also versatile enough to compete in long jump, 200, 400 and either relay. Among Pac-10 returnees, ranks 11th based on 2002 season bests. Needs clearance of 5-7 3/4 to move into Duck all-time top 10. 2001-02: Pac-10 Qualifier (High Jump). Ranked third on team in high jump – an event that featured three Pac-10 qualifiers. Made first Pac-10 appearance (13th, 5-3 1/4) - one of three Duck entries. Overall, competed in nine outdoor contests and cleared season best of 5-7 in Willamette Open (first) and Oregon Twilight (fourth). Also ran 400 season best (60.33) in Oregon Twilight and long jumped once during year (16-10 1/2). Indoors, tied for team lead with season best from UW Invitational (sixth, 5-5 3/4) and UW Quad (third, 5-5 3/4). Before Oregon: Competed past two seasons for Clackamas Community College and was ranked among nation's top JC high jumpers. Was one of busiest performers in 2001 NWAACC Championships, scoring in 200 (fifth), 400 (third), high jump (first, 5-7), long jump (fourth, 17-4), triple jump (fourth, high 34), 4x100 (second) and 4x400 (first). As a freshman at 2000 NWAAC meet, placed in high jump (second, 5-4), 400 (third, 58.3), 4x100 (second) and 4x400 relay (first). Prep: In 1999 as a senior in Oregon 3A state championships, placed in long jump (fourth, 16-6 1/4w) and high jump (ninth, 5-0). Owned prep bests of 5-4 in high jump and 16-6 1/4w in long jump. Also earned four letters in soccer as forward and wing. An all-state pick in basketball as a senior at forward, lettered four seasons on the hardwood. Claimed Tri-Valley student-athlete award. Tri-Valley Academic All-League honoree as a senior in track, basketball and soccer. High School (Coach): Sherwood ‘99 (Terrall Smith). Personal: Major: Psychology.
