Women's Track
Part of one nation’s top pole vault units, ranks eighth among Pac-10 returnees based on 2002’s combined indoor and outdoor best list, and is one of 16 NCAA automatic or provisional qualifiers in the league back this year. Ranks third all-time in Duck rankings in pole vault with her 12-10 clearance in 2002. 2001-02: NCAA Provisional Qualifier (Pole Vault). Ranked second on team outdoors with personal best in Pac-10 Championships (fifth, PR 12-10). Competed in seven meets, and cleared NCAA provisional mark of 12-5 1/2 or better in four stops, including the last three of the season. Posted highest finish of season in Arizona State Invitational (second, 12-5 1/2). Indoors, ranked 30th nationally and third on squad with season best from UW Quad Classic (fourth, 12-10). Also topped NCAA provisional mark in Pole Vault Summit (12-9 1/2) and UW Invitational (fourth, 12-5 1/2) and also represented Ducks in Mountain Pacific Championships (ninth, 12-3 1/2) and Husky Scoring Meet (first, 11-11 3/4). Pac-10 All-Academic Second-Team selection in track.
2000-01: NCAA Provisional Qualifier. Cleared 12 feet or better in four of last five meets, including six-inch personal best in the Pac-10 Championships (10th, 12-7 1/2). Also cleared 12 feet in Steve Scott Invite (fourth, 12-0), Oregon Invitational (sixth, 12-1 1/2) and Pomona Pitzer Invite (second, 12-0). Indoors, ranked third on squad with season best from Great Northwest Indoor (11-0).
Prep: Capped prep career at home with a fourth-place finish in the pole vault in the 4A state meet (10-8). Ranked seventh in state as a senior. High School: South Eugene '00 (John Gillespie, Bob Hayes).
